Legend of Defenders: a tower defense that guards your castle and your wallet

Legend of Defenders

Stats updated · refreshed from Steam every few hours

Legend of Defenders is an idle tower defense game with all the moreish hero-pulling of a gacha and none of the card-swiping. Recruit heroes, pair them with turrets, mix elements and crowd control, then flip on Auto Battle and let your castle hold back endless monster waves while gold, experience and talent points pile up, even when you're away. It's a pure single-player game with zero in-app purchases, and there's even a Boss Key that hides the window in one click.

There's a lot to tinker with: skill trees, treasures, gear you can enhance, enchant and reroll, and Rift bosses to farm when a wave wall gets stubborn. Placement is forgiving too, so it's more about building a fun lineup than fussing over a turret being half a tile off. It's chill, low-stress and dangerously sticky.

The flip side: this is a number-goes-up game at heart, with little story, and the loop can start to feel hollow once your numbers get truly absurd. Leveling heroes and turrets one at a time also gets tedious. If idle games aren't your thing, this won't convert you. It's Windows-only, hasn't been rated for Deck, and is on a launch discount until November 16.
