The Library Assistant: shelve the chaos, giggle at the spines

The Library Assistant

Loot Score7.7/10

Stats updated · refreshed from Steam every few hours

The Library Assistant is a cozy book-sorting game about turning toppled piles into tidy shelves. You pick up, stack and slot volumes with floppy physics-based handling across themed rooms, matching sets and series until every spine sits where it belongs. There's no timer, just the relaxing rhythm of putting things right.

The real charm is in the books themselves: thousands of them across hundreds of colorful sets, with pun-loaded titles in every genre from cheesy romance to spooky horror. Working out which volumes belong together gives the tidying a gentle puzzle edge, and there's a click-to-carry option for anyone who'd rather not drag every book.

It's deliberately hands-on, so if manual sorting sounds like a chore, this won't change your mind. Upgrades can run dry partway through, and there isn't much to chase on the decorating side. Windows-only, mouse-driven, with a demo to try first.
